Our engineers are cross-trained to serve in a variety of capacities, which means we have overlapping capabilities in the disciplines mentioned above. In addition to our staff engineers, HWI can pull in resources from a pool of contract engineers or from certain strategic partners for disciplines that may be outside of our core scope of capabilities. We are disciplined in the fields of electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, robotics, industrial, software, RF, ASIC and micro-miniature design. HWI is committed to protecting our clients' project investments, with our engineering staff having secured more than 100 patents on behalf of our clients to date. HWI's quality systems include compatibility to ISO-9001, EN46001 and MDD, Annex II (Annex II allows for self-certification of the CE mark for medical products. At the time of first granting, HWI was among only 100 American companies which met the requirements for MDD, Annex II). In addition, HWI has vast regulatory experience with the medical community, including cGMP and QSR for the FDA, verification and validation, clinical trial assistance and 510K submissions. |
